AI4Football 2026 – Author Submission Guidelines
This page provides important information for authors submitting papers to the
AI4Football 2026 Workshop.
Accepted papers will be submitted for publication in the
CEUR Workshop Proceedings (CEUR-WS).
1. Paper Preparation
- Papers must be written in English.
- Authors must use the official CEURART template.
- Submissions must be in PDF format.
- All papers must contain title, authors, affiliations, abstract, and keywords.
- The PDF must be searchable and printable.

Template and Formatting Recommendations
- The official CEURART templates are available both as an Overleaf template and as a downloadable ZIP package.
- Authors familiar with LaTeX are strongly encouraged to use the LaTeX version of the CEURART template.
- If you compile the paper locally instead of using Overleaf, please install a recent TeX Live distribution (2020 or later).
- Make sure that the Libertinus font family is properly installed.
- Linux:
sudo apt install texlive-fonts-extra
- Windows:
tlmgr install libertinus libertinus-fonts libertinus-otf libertinus-type1
- The ZIP package also contains an ODT (LibreOffice) version of the CEURART template.
- Since 2025, CEUR-WS no longer supports two-column paper layouts. All submissions must use the official one-column format.
- Authors who cannot use LaTeX may use the ODT template (
CEUR-Template-1col.odt) provided with the CEURART package.
- LibreOffice users must ensure that the Libertinus font family is installed on their local computer. Installation instructions are included in the ODT package.
- Do not use cloud-based text editors such as Microsoft 365 Online or Google Docs, as they do not properly support the required Libertinus fonts and may generate incompatible PDF files.
- LibreOffice provides a reliable built-in PDF export function and is recommended when using the ODT template.
- The ODT templates are derived from a template created by Aleksandr Ometov and are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
- The CEURART templates include a mandatory declaration regarding the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence tools. Authors must complete this declaration where applicable.
- Microsoft Word templates are not officially recommended because they may produce PDF files that are not fully compliant with CEUR-WS publication requirements.
2. Paper Length
- Paper Length: 5 pages or more.
- All submissions must include references.
3. Submission Process
- Authors must submit papers through the workshop submission system.
- At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper.
- Submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
4. Publication Policy
Accepted papers will be submitted to CEUR-WS.org for online publication.
Authors retain copyright of their papers under the
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Authors may also upload preprints or institutional versions of their papers,
provided that appropriate references to the official CEUR-WS publication are included.
5. Important CEUR-WS Requirements
- Use the official CEURART style.
- Include the required CC BY 4.0 copyright notice.
- Provide complete author information.
- Ensure figures and tables are readable.
- Verify PDF compatibility before submission.
6. Important Dates
- Paper Submission Deadline: 15 Sep 2026
- Notification of Acceptance: 15 Oct 2026
- Camera-ready Submission: 15 Nov 2026
- Workshop Dates: 14–15 Dec 2026
